2. More cloud on Tuesday, some more persistent rain in Ireland and western Scotland.

3. Cloud in northern England, the Midlands and Wales on Wednesday with cooler weather and scattered showers following into Scotland and Ireland.

4. Cooler Thursday, mostly dry with sunny spells and just a few showers on western coasts.

5. Remaining cool on Friday, isolated showers on eastern coasts otherwise fair.
