Tonight's the night!

We have it on good authority here at the Weatherweb Weather Centre that Father Christmas has already put together his flight plan for this evening. He's checked the weather, and he is ready to go!

Now, the good news is that the weather in the UK and Ireland does not pose any particular problems with skies clearing and little turbulence. IN fact, temperatures are likely to be mild through the overnight period.

A minor trouble will be the brisk northwest wind into the early hours of Christmas Day morning which will create a slight crosswind, however, it's nothing that Father Christmas cannot cope with; after all, he's had a few years of practice.

Elsewhere in the world it's milder much of Europe and western Russia. Eastern Russia will be cold, but not for reindeer! Mild in eastern China and much of the USA and Canada. Nothing too drastic in the Southern Hemisphere, although Australia is certainly going to be hot.

Remember to leave carrots and milk tonight, with the milder weather causing lots of sweating from reindeer, they will need the drink and extra energy.
