QBO update and colder early winter?
The latest quasi-biennial oscillation (QBO) chart shows and easterly anomaly again (that's the blue colour next to the red arrow below). Brown colours show where there is a westerly wind bias, whilst the blue shows easterly winds in the high stratosphere above the Equator. That blue may indicate a tendency towards colder
