Who will it rain? That's the question we are being asked multiple times a day right now.
Hopefully the six week outlook below from the ECMWF model will help. However, this is just one model, so much can change, but we are reasonably confident in it right now.
Here's what we think so far ...
12th June to 18th June
High pressure dominates.
Early thundery showers
Becoming drier through the week.
Best sunshine in west later.
Some low cloud east at times.
Warm for all, some very warm days.
19th June to 25th June
Pressure tending to stay higher for much of the week.
Dry start, sunny spells.
Warm.
Hints of changes later in the week and into the weekend as more mixed weather spreads from west.
Showery rain likely later.
Becoming less warm.
26th June to 2nd July
Pressure tending to fall, low pressure to the west.
Some showery outbreaks of rain.
Probably not high quantities.
Most of any rain or showers in west.
Near average temperatures.
3rd July to 9th July
Staying mixed, some outbreaks of rain in west.
Higher pressure east.
Tending to be drier in east and north, especially later.
Warm.
10th July to 16th July
Higher pressure building again, mostly north.
Dry, sunny spells.
Warmest in west.
Northeast flow keeping east cooler.
Risk of some showers in south.
17th July to 23rd July
Pressure stays higher.
Dry overall.
Dry north.Risk some thundery rain in south.
Warm in south, cooler north.
