It's a roasty-toasty few days ahead with temperatures into the 30's over eastern England.

Question now is, how long does it last?

There's a few differences between the models as to how next week develops. I favour the GFS solution although the ECMWF certainly is adamant it's going cooler and more mixed.

I showed the graph below in yesterdays Look Ahead. It's the 35-day forecast from the GFS Ens,mble and I don't think it is likely be far wrong.

Notice the warmth this week and then the sharp fall away in temperature (although only to warmer than average levels early next week), before the next step down around 22nd September.

All in all a warm month, at least until later and it certainly looks very Indian summer'y!
