It's time that the ECMWF 6-week forecast takes us almost to the end of Sumer; yes, that's correct, it is meant to be summer!

I'm looking for glimmers of hope that this year doesn't just turn into a so, so summer, but see what you think from the below information.

15th July to 21st July
Low pressure to the west of Ireland, higher pressure east.
A warm southerly flow affecting all parts of the country.
Possibly very warm, especially in the east.
Risk of some rain in the west and possibly south, few showers elsewhere.

22nd July to 28th July
Ridge of high pressure over southern and eastern areas of the country.
Low pressure west of Ireland,
Dry south and east sunny spells and very warm.
Western areas of Ireland and western Scotland likely to be cloudy and damp with rain at times.
Rain could be heavy in the west.

29th July to 4th August
A slack pressure flow this week.
The risk of sow moving thunderstorms developing.
Perhaps wetter in the west.
Drier in the east and south, but still some showers.
Warm overall.

5th August to 11th August
Weak ridge affecting southern areas again this week.
Dry for many parts of England and eastern Wales.
Risk of some thundery showers. Warm.
Rain at times in western Ireland and western Scotland as fronts pass by.

12th August to 18th August
Ridge of high pressure affecting the whole of the UK and Ireland.
Probably mostly dry.
Could be some showers over western Ireland.
Warm or very warm.

19th August to 26th August
Breaking into a more mixed week.
Perhaps some slow moving thunderstorms.
A warm or very warm week.
Humid?
