The colder weather during the coming week has been well documented (albeit often inaccurately) in the media.
Here's what you need to know.

1. Colder air draining south through all areas on Tuesday.
2. Feeling pretty raw in the damp and breezy conditions.
3. An increasing risk of sleet and snow at low levels in Scotland, and the risk of snow increasing on hills further south.
4. Staying damp and cold though Thursday with rain, sleet and snow, most in the west.
5. Remaining cold through Friday, further wintry showers.
