1. Gusts over 90mph in central and northern Scotland Monday evening and early in the night, 70mph for much of northern England, Wales and Ireland.

2. Colder for all on Tuesday, snow on hills of Scotland, northern England and Ireland, then Wales.

3. Watch for increased sleet and snow shower risk northwest England, north Wales, SW Scotland and Northern Ireland Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.

4. Milder for Thursday, rather murky and drizzly west but heavy rain western Scotland.

5. Windy and wet Friday as a band of rain spreads eastwards, staying mild.
