06Z GFS shows similar snow outcomes for tonight & widespread ice
The 06Z GFS shows a similar solution for overnight snow and sleet. Chart below shows the rain turning to snow on it's western edge (midnight to 6am). This again probably very wet and very little on low ground, most accumulations on hills. Suspect anything on the ground will be grey and slushy
Wednesday morning snow update
Latest ideas are for the rain to turn to sleet and snow over hills of Wales, northern England and southern Scotland this morning. Then sleet or wet snow developing over hills of Midlands and parts of southern England this afternoon. Wet snow could begin to affect low level parts of the Midlands
