Hints of spring not so springy?

There were hints earlier this week of warm weather heading into this weekend, despite turning chillier next week.

Latest thoughts this morning are that the cooler air flowing from the continent doesn't really leave southern England.

Having said that, it will still be pleasant in the sunshine, and it will certainly be milder in northern and western areas, becoming dry here too.

The temperature graph below shows temperatures rising across Manchester (representative of the north and west of the UK) into the weekend, before slipping again next week.

Now compare with London which has a much flatter temperature profile due to the increased early wind.

Both graphs highlighting the drier weather.
