Soil temperatures rising, but we may have to wait

Many Weatherweb Premium members are farmers (as well as others of you who are traders, sailors, aviators, weather enthusiasts and many more!), and it is at this time of year that soil temperatures become critical.

They are low right now and with the prospect of a return to wetter weather there isn't that much hope of things picking up quickly over the coming few days.

However, the temperature graphs below for Scotland and southern England do show temperatures rising in the next 14-days.

London gets above the critically important 7 and 8C stage next week...

Whilst for Glasgow its a case of hanging on until the end of the month.

These locations are representative of conditions across England and Scotland respectively.

I've added some new soil temperature charts from GFS ensemble on the Weatherweb Pro-Models site.
