Fair Tuesday but rain warning for farmers on Wednesday

I know many of you who are farming have been trying to get some silage made through today and tomorrow.

But overnight models have been more adventurous with their rain risk for tomorrow (Wednesday) through SW England, Wales, the Midlands and southern England.

Here's the prediction for Wednesday afternoon form the GFS...it shows the rain threat through those areas. Totals are low but there. Notice some patchy rain in eastern Ireland and western and central Scotland too.

Now compare that with the higher resolution met Office model for tomorrow morning...it goes with more persistent rain southern Wales and parts of the Midlands...

Then pulls it east in as the morning progresses ...

Then has it headed into East Anglia, the Midlands and southern England in the afternoon ...

And as for Thursday it's thundery rain in the east and southeast ...

There is uncertainty as to how this develops, but you need to be watching this one very carefully.

Will keep you updated.
