There's increasing agreement between longer range models of higher pressure trying to dominate in October.

Here's the 500mb forecast for October from the CFS and see how the heights are forecast to be above normal (the orange and red colours).

The ridge is actually centred over Ireland which would indicate quite a dominant area of high pressure.

Don't run away with this as a definite idea yet, but it's interesting that most models call the same pattern.
