1. Today (Monday) brings some showery rain and breezy weather into Ireland and western Scotland. Elsewhere it's dry with some god spells of sunshine, best in the east.

2. Tuesday may see some cloud and residual showers in the southeast of the UK. Gales in northern Scotland with showers or rain here. Elsewhere a cooler day but dry with sunny spells.

3. Watch for a touch of early frost in places on Wednesday. A cooler northwest flow affects all areas. Some showers in northern Scotland and northern England. Mostly dry elsewhere with sunny spells, the best to the south.

4. A touch of morning frost again in England, Wales, Ireland and southern Scotland. Breezier northern Scotland with some showers here. Dry elsewhere with sunny spells.

5. Little change for Friday with high pressure holding bringing a touch of frost in England, Wales and Ireland. A band of showers and chillier weather drifts south through Scotland perhaps bringing some sleet to the highest hills.

Signs look reasonable for the weekend with temperatures rising. There could be some cloud in the west later but overall it's likely to be dry.
