Here we go again, the start of a new week, and this time it is week 30 of 2018.

Summer is turning into a memorable one for many in the east, although there is some rain in the north and west today.

But what about elsewhere? Here are your 5 Weather Week Things to Know...

1. Rain in southwest Scotland and eastern Ireland today (Monday), most of it light.

2. Feeling hot to the east and south, much fresher in the north and west.

3. Broken cloud in central areas through Wednesday as the front becomes slow moving. A risk of an isolated showers. Staying hot east and south,. fresher in the west.

4. Thursday brings hot weather (33C) in the east and south again, but low pressure west of Ireland pushes some showery rain into western Scotland and Ireland.

5. Friday tops out the week with more warm and hot weather in many areas, although cloud and some rain in western Scotland and western Ireland.
