CFS sees high building for a couple of weeks

The latest forecasts from the CFS model make for interesting viewing.

The run from midnight last night is heavily suggesting that by week to high-pressure is going to be building, but not before another 5 days when the jet stream hits the UK and Ireland, notice the blue colours below...

Just look at the flip below that takes place at days 6 to 10 when we see high-pressure building as shown by the red and grey colours...

At days 11 to 15 high pressure remains in control so we should get another week of drier weather...

However by days 16 to 20, so towards the end of the month we almost see a reversal, with high-pressure drifting west of Ireland and trough to the east of the UK. If this were to pan out then this would lead to a cooler North or Northwest and the flow and that could bring some showers mostly in the north and east, some of them wintry on hills....

Of course much can change and this is just the latest thoughts of the CFS model, but it’s something we need to be watching carefully.
