JMA winter update, another cold forecast?

It's interesting to see the JMA thoughts for the cold season periods, December through February. Below are a couple of charts, the top being 850mb temperature anomalies (that's at about 5000ft), the lower chart being 500mb height anomalies, where yellow is above average, blue below average.
