Musing: This is what thermals feel and look like

I thought you might like to see the thermal I experienced whilst flying at 2500ft just north of Great Malvern today.

What can look like a fine day on the ground can actually be very bumpy in the air.

As the video starts you'll see a small ''wobble' of the aircraft, but then watch the bigger 'bump'. This is where the thermal caught one wing of the aircraft, tipping it to one side. It actually feels much more dramatic in the aircraft and is testimony to the power of nature.

A privilege to experience though!
