A familiar weather story...
- Dry and sunny weather for all: After a little rain for southwestern Britain and parts of Ireland to take us into Friday, the outlook for the next few days is once again dry, and will stay that way throughout the week ahead too. Low humidity and plenty of clear skies ahead for many places.
- Pleasant temperatures, but cool northeast: Maximum values by day in 15 to 18C for many central and western areas, although the onshore breeze in the east of England and Scotland will peg temperatures back nearer to 10C, or lower right on the coast.
- Slight frosts: Typical of a settled springtime pattern, warm days are followed by cool nights, with temperatures dipping away toward freezing in rural areas up to dawn, very locally just below zero in sheltered hollows, so beware the risk of slight frosts on the ground first thing.
- Local early mist, some cloud northeast: Early mornings will see some patchy mist in low-lying spots, whilst some cloud will filter inland from the North Sea to cover some eastern hills for a few hours at first, but this will thin and break up during the day.
- Easterly breezes, easing on Sunday: Just like recent days, the easterly wind will feel rather fresh, and gusty in places around hills and some coastal areas. Mean speeds of 10-15mph, in places gusts 20-25mph, or stronger over hills. Tending to lessen during Sunday, with lighter winds generally onward into early next week.
