I've been looking at the soil and air temperatures in the next couple of weeks. Higher pressure is shown as building with an east to northeast wind setting in. This drags even more moisture from the soil but also has an impact on air temperatures. The 15-day temperature chart shows the falling

Top chart here is important. Notice most of the models go with rising pressure early to mid next week, Canadian being most bullish. Rainfall remains low. Looks like the high is going to be in and so drier weather now being baked in, but temperatures looking on the cool side as northeasterly sets
